Flathead Lake in Montana is perhaps the most anticipated destination for our guests here at Stoner Creek Cabins. Being able to sail and swim in the crystal clear waters of the lake is like a dream come true, a travel destination that can be both serene and exciting at the same time.

Volunteer Park

Volunteer Park 

Located in the heart of Lakeside at the intersection of Adams Street and Highway 93. Three picnic pavilions with restroom facilities, bike rack, kayak rack, boat dock, gravel beach, swim platform, and water fountain. Pets are not allowed on grassy lawn or swimming. 


Lakeside Community Park 

This is the “secret” park of Lakeside that only locals know about! Dock and gravel beach for you and your fur babies to enjoy! 


Somer’s Beach 

Located East of the boat launch, this is a popular spot for recreating on Flathead Lake in the summer! Kayak and SUP rentals are available nearby. 


Westshore State Park 

West Shore State Park is a public recreation area occupying 129 acres on the western shore of Flathead Lake five miles south of Lakeside in Lake County, Montana. The state park offers boating, fishing, camping, swimming, hiking, and wildlife viewing.

Howe’s Fishing Charters 

Howe’s Fishing, also known as A Able and Mo Fisch Charters, offers year round fishing. Groups large or small, they have you covered on Flathead Lake and other area permitted lakes. Flathead lake offers half and full day fishing, as well as half day tours to Wild Horse Island and evening lake tours. Ice Fishing is their specialty in the winter months. They are “Mo Able to put fish on your table!”

Flathead Cherry Picking

FLATHEAD CHERRY PICKING

Flathead Lake is home to the world famous Flathead Cherries. Harvest is generally from the second week in July for a month. The perfect climate for cherries, roadside farm stands are plentiful! If you’re feeling adventurous, find a farm for U-Pick cherry harvesting!
